Irvingia is a genus of African and South Asia trees in the family Irvingiaceae, sometimes known by the common names wild mango, African mango, or bush mango. S/he Loves Me, S/he Loves Me Not

Hello folks. Been a while since my last post. Decided to drop by and leave a few observable red flags for those of us either in relationships or intending to start one so that we know just what to expect and avoid before rushing in and making all those mistakes a lot of people have in the past that led them to heartbreak. This is the surest way to avoid needless sleepless nights and maintain reasonably sound emotional health. It is no secret that the state of one's emotions can directly affect that person's general well being both positively and negatively so it pertinent to seek partners that add to us a relative measure of happiness and fulfillment.
I know my views and opinions may not cut across every relationship situation so I encourage you to be flexible with circumstances that are not clearly defined. Everyone deserves to be loved and treated with respect at all times. Do not compromise on either, seek to find that with all your heart.

Enjoy...

  1. If s/he never calls you: This isn't really complicated. You just met this awesome person, you've gone on a few dates and you're hoping to start a really good relationship but....there's a but. Every time your phone rings you're wishing it was him/her but it never is. There's nothing complex about this, his/her heart is not set on you (yet). You can either be patient and wait forever or move right along to the person who thinks of  regularly enough to ring you at least once in a day.
  2. If s/he insists on keeping you Naija's best kept secret: One word to describe this: UNSAFE. What is he? A member of the SSS? Is his/her relationship status some kind of classified information? I understand some folk are very 'private' with their personal lives but never allow your relationship be so private that NO ONE knows you're dating. This is breeding ground for cheating.
  3. If you don't know his/her friends or a single member of his family: You've been dating for a few months now, your friends think he/she is  the best thing that happened to you after winning the lottery. Your family adores him/her and yet you do not know anyone who he/she calls his/her friend. You're not even sure about his family. Please move on. Please.
  4.  If you can't show up at his/her place unannounced: This one is a little tricky because some people freak out when they're not expecting anyone and they hear the door bell ring. But when they open the door and they don't greet you with that don't-like-surprise-visits-but-i'm-so-happy-it's-you smile then you might want to tread carefully. If every time you show up at his or hers and all they do is complain and warn you never to do it again then think about the situation.
  5.  If s/he doesn't use your picture as his/her BBM dp once in a while: As mundane and trivial as this gesture may seem, a lot of people with commitment issues avoid it just so they can have the freedom to 'play around' with other people but still keep you heavily committed.
  6. If nothing you do seems to impress him/her: You just can't seem to sound right? Look right? Act right? He/she spends 90% of the time trying to show you how you could have done everything better? This should have actually been number one, move on. Any man or woman that values you will use that 90% to try to convince you how good your flaws make you look and how funny that nasty habit of yours is.
  7.  If s/he TELLS you his/her mom doesn't like people from your place: He or she is trying to TELL you in plain language that there is NO future for the two of you together.
  8.  If s/he doesn't respect your choice of friends/opinions/lifestyle and constantly talks down on you: This is the best way to show someone how poorly you think of them. If that guy or girl is showing you this then best be sure that he/she has a very low opinion of you.
  9.  If s/he constantly flirts with EVERY single person (right in front of you): This is easy. Run. You're dealing with respect issues and your partner apparently has none of it for you. Find a person that respects you enough to put up a show for if even after you've left he/she is going to flirt with the whole world.
  10.  If s/he is always focused on their phone, chatting on BBM but yet there's always only one chat open which happens to be yours: S/he is deleting stuff simple. Things are going on that would be potentially harmful if they came to your knowledge.
Love, like many things in life, is a decision and like all other important decisions it must be made carefully and wisely. In order to stay happy, confident and productive chose a partner who accepts you, respects you and is willing to be that bright spot that lights up your world not the exact opposite.

Young, Sexy and Fabulous by RobynEye

The proclamation of the total deregulation of the downstream sector of our nation's oil industry by the Federal Government on the first day of January this year threw the country into an unexpected frenzy. The Labour unions declared a strike and protests went on from Kano through Lagos and much of the nation's federal capital Abuja.
In the midst of all the chaos however, young, fabulous and sexy divas launched out in an alluring yet down to earth photo shoot done by Abuja's emerging new talent, RobynEye.
Whoever said beauty, brains and talent could not be found in one woman was certainly not talking about Ene Orokpo, the gorgeous vixen behind the camera.
I hope this shoot inspires everyone out there to stay fabulous regardless of whatever the situation may be.

In a freeze frame of a perfect moment,

Time stops and the earth seizes

All that seems to exist is the passion we've created

    As our hearts lock

    In a blissful kiss

One I define as a gift to you and me...
